The Shirley Gorelick Foundation was established to preserve the artwork of the painter and sculptor Shirley Gorelick and to promote the legacy of her work. It engages in art education and research, with a focus on women in the arts. It supports the exhibition of Shirley Gorelick’s work, donates works to museums, universities and other non-profit entities, and encourages its collection and dissemination, so that it may be enjoyed and studied by all. Gorelick’s works are in the collections of many museums, including The Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn, NY; Baltimore Museum of Art; Minneapolis Institute of Art; The National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington DC; Rowan University, Glassboro, NJ; The Hillwood Art Museum, Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus; The Housatonic Museum of Art, Bridgeport, CT; Nassau Community College, Garden City, NY; and The Provincetown Art Association and Museum, Provincetown, MA.
